~ NOW WITH 5 LOCATIONS ~
SEATTLE, EDMONDS, ISSAQUAH, AUBURN, SEA-TAC
Thank you for your interest in our Spring / Summer teams program. Tryouts are coming up so if you want to get in for some training before hand, it is recommended. Visit our training link to register. All potential players should do their best to attend both tryouts. Grades are based on this current school year. Please show up 15-30 minutes early to register and sign in.
Tryouts are free and you only need to make 1, but it is in your best interest to make as many of them as you can. Bring your hoop gear and water. You do not need to bring a basketball. During tryouts our coaching staff will evaluate their skills and ability in game settings and competitions. Players/parents will fill out a waiver before participating if you are new to ECBA. You will receive a call from the director or coach by Wednesday about what team you made. If you do not receive a phone call by Thursday feel free to call or email us.
Many players also participate in other sports, which is fine with us as long as you can make more than half of the team's practices and games. Training is 5 days a week so it is easy to find days and times that don't conflict with their other team.
Our teams will practice once a week and have training available before or after their practice to help consolidate the amount of time spent coming to ECBA. On top of the team practice and training once a week, you can register for additional classes during the week at no extra charge. 1 or 2 extra classes a week, plus games on the weekend allow our players to really improve their individual skills and basketball IQ. We will have player/coach meetings at the beginning and end of the season to help with player/coach relations and go over goals and areas of improvement. By playing on a team you are committing to our training for the 5-month season.
You can't play on a team and not train. Training is the most important aspect of their development and is what separates us from everyone else. We have players that travel here from Tacoma, Oak Harbor, Marysville, Issaquah, Redmond, and other surrounding areas, so carpooling can really help. Bring a friend or fellow hooper to tryouts and they can both be on the same team if needed to help with carpooling. Players tend to enjoy their team more when 1 or 2 of their friends are playing also. Again, thank you for your interest in Emerald City, and if you have any questions feel free to contact us.
See you at the gym!

2010 SPRING TRAINING RETREAT!
For all 6th-12th grade boys and girls who play on a spring/summer team, be sure to save the weekend of March 26th-28th for the annual spring training retreat! Time and location coming soon!
Our spring training retreat is an opportunity for nearly 200 of ECBA’s middle school and high school players to practice, bond, learn, practice, exercise, work together, and practice in an inclusive and energetic setting.
Each team will have four 2 hour practices between Friday evening and Sunday evening – these intense practices will provide the structure for your team as you move into spring/summer leagues and tournaments! It is important that every player attend camp, otherwise, you will miss important information and practices!
